Is there a presentation I can watch online?
There is an audio presentation, taped here in Kona in August, that will give you all the information you need; also a great way to easily spread the word to family and friends. Send me an email and I’ll send you the link.
What is VoIP?
VoIP stands for “voice over Internet Protocol”. You can say ‘VOeep’ or ‘vop’ – basically a geeky way to say ‘internet phone’, ‘broadband phone’, ‘IP phone’ or even ‘digital phone.’ It’s the fastest growing new telecommunications market; people (including businesses and universities) are getting rid of old, outdated land lines in favor of having their home phone routed through their high-speed internet connection. You can call any phone number, whether they are on VoIP or a land line.
Why would I switch over to this technology?
Have you taken a look at your phone bill lately? Exactly what are all those fees and surcharges? Most VoIP providers are much cheaper, plus you get all kinds of extras like voicemail, music on hold, call forwarding, caller ID/block, and even email and fax that comes into your account webpage online. You can even send a voice email! Usually included are calls to anywhere in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. (scroll down for specifics on the Global Freedom phone package.)
Right now VoIP is where cell phones were 15 years ago, or microwave ovens in the 1970s…pretty soon this will be the way people communicate by and large around the world. It’s already happening faster abroad than in the US, but we’re catching up. And it’s not going to take decades before every household has it - this transformation is happening very, very rapidly; statistics suggest there will be as many as 200 million new subscribers by 2011. Some new houses are even being built without the old public switch wiring; it’s all going Internet. Many people who already only have cell phones and think this isn’t for them, might not realize that when WIFI comes in, even that will change. With a little vision you might imagine this is not only the wave of the future, but a truly unique business opportunity right now.
Don’t I get free long distance with my cell phone?
If you think you’re getting free long distance, try calculating how much you’re paying per minute for your cell phone. Is that free? How many minutes could you shave down your cell phone bill if you made your calls at home (or even from an Internet cafe, and in the near future, anywhere there’s city-wide WIFI) from your VoIP phone? Pretty soon people will even abandon cell phones for WIFI phones. Plus ever read about what some people think cell phone radiation can cause?
Can I use my regular home telephone?
You don’t have to be ‘on’ your computer to talk on your phone; you just hook up your regular old telephone you always used to a new little adapter box which is connected to your broadband router (that is always ‘on’). Your extra cordless handsets around the house will still work just fine as long as the base unit is connected.
There are no changes you have to make with your wiring.
What is a softphone?
As part of your Global Freedom phone package, you have the option of downloading what’s called a ’softphone’, which is just software that gives you a telephone pad on your desktop you can use to receive and make calls through your computer’s microphone or a headset, using your regular phone number. It will hook into your webcam too if you have one.
Can I keep my old phone number?
Sure can. You just have to send a short form along with $25 to the government so they know it’s really you who wants to switch (of course they get their cut!). It takes a couple of weeks so don’t shut down your regular phone service until it’s completed. Then your VoIP provider should help guide you through the steps to program that number into your adapter box. You don’t have to be a technological genius to do this.
Can I travel with it?
You can take your adapter box, or video phone (or softphone!), with you anywhere there’s high-speed internet. You’d be able to receive home phone calls, or business calls, wherever you are; plus you can make free calls to anyone in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico without having to deal with expensive foreign tolls and charges. (Remember, cell phones don’t travel internationally unless you have purchased such a phone specifically, and even then you have to buy minutes from a provider in that country.)
What if I want to call internationally?
International calls are prepaid. This means there are no contracts, no credit checks, no fees or surcharges. You just pay whatever tariff that particular country charges; it’s generally 2 to 5 cents per minute, depending. Some are more, some are less, but I think the highest is like 18 cents/minute. You just go into your online account page and prepay like five bucks and you’re set. GFP International rates.
If the person you’re calling also has the Global Freedom phone network, those calls are free no matter where they live around the world.
How do I choose a provider?
If you’ve looked into it, you’ll see there are already dozens of different ones out there. Prices are usually around $20-50/month; but be careful. They all offer different packages; make sure you’ve got E911 for one thing, that’s pretty important. Ask about any contracts you have to sign (there are no contracts, credit checks, fees, taxes or surcharges with the Global Freedom phone service). Ask whether they include voicemail, music on hold, caller ID, and email. Make sure calls to the US and Canada are included, and compare international rates. And check into the company; it’s still a new market, and some companies are having trouble as the market adjusts. SunRocket just suddenly went out of business last month, leaving hundreds of thousands of customers in the lurch, and they’re not alone. You might have heard of Vonage – that company is having all kinds of problems with sagging stocks and lawsuits. (FYI, Liberty International is a debt-free company – and sells many other products besides VoIP.)
Ask about their customer service. Is it out-sourced? How quickly do they respond; how helpful are they? I’ve read a ton of people complaining about this.
Do you know anyone with that provider; have you talked to them? Ask them what problems and issues they’ve had before you decide.
Plus consider this carefully: your service can be totally FREE if you choose Liberty International’s Global FREEdom phone.
How come I haven’t heard of Liberty International or the Global FREEdom phone service?
Liberty International isn’t just a VoIP provider. They’ve been around over seven years but only got into this new market a couple of years ago when the technology become more widely accepted; they offer hundreds of other products, including internet service, grocery store coupons, clothes, books, health and beauty products, CDs, movies and much more – even car rentals and health insurance. Their Global FREEdom phone is only one of their many successful markets, so they’re going to be around for a long time; and remember, LI is a debt-free company.
You might not have heard of them yet because they only advertise through word-of mouth. Instead of spending millions of dollars on advertising (Vonage, for example, spent $1.5 million on ONE Superbowl commercial…and they aren’t doing so well - people just fast-forward TV commercials anyway these days), LI wants to put that money back in YOUR pocket – to keep you happy to tell your friends. Personal recommendation is the best advertising anyway, isn’t it? You always listen to your friends when they tell you about a good movie or a new shoe style. You trust your friends; you don’t always trust a sleazy commercial.
So, what does the Global Freedom phone offer that other companies don’t?
The service comes loaded with every calling feature available (voicemail, E911, call forwarding, call waiting caller ID/block, music on hold, email, fax, etc), including unlimited calls anywhere in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The truly unique offering is the opportunity to get your service for FREE.
The Global Freedom phone service is regularly $24.95/month, which is still a great rate as far as VoIP providers go – but, unlike any other VoIP provider out there, if you refer three people to the same service, yours is FREE.
You don’t have to start a home business to get the service; as a customer only, you can just pay the monthly fees and leave it there - it’s still a very competitive rate. Or, tell three people and get it free without having to do anything about starting a business - you’ll start getting residual checks in the mail even if you didn’t do anything else.
Liberty International also gives its customers a chance to participate in larger profits if they decide to start a home based business. There are several options here; skip down to the ‘business opportunity’ question for more. I can tell you I have found out I will likely make a lot more than I even thought I would when I joined.
Another great asset is their incredible customer service. I can tell you from personal experience, it is not out-sourced, and they make all kinds of unusual efforts to help; THEY called ME when I emailed a question! They are friendly, knowledgeable and easy to understand. That right there is a selling point for me.
What is all this about a video phone?
The future is here, no doubt about it. This is an optional purchase, but you can imagine it is going to spread like wildfire. Remember, you can easily plug it into your big screen TV if you want, and as long as your internet connection is truly high speed (in Hawaii, we’ve had to call our provider and insist we get what we’re paying for – and miraculously, the connection speeds get boosted!) - there is no delay or pixelation like on some of the online webcam sites. The video phone is 30 bps, just like a TV. It also comes preprogrammed with all the extras, and would be used instead of the adapter box.
I already use Skype. Why would I bother with this?
Skype allows you to call for free from computer to computer, but if you want to call someone’s regular telephone line, you have to pay for it. Rumor has it even Skype’s computer to computer calls won’t be free forever anyway. Remember, the GFP service is FREE with three referrals. Can’t beat that. Plus do a little research on Skype; a lot of calls get dropped, and they’ve even been down for days at a time. Also if you want to use your own phone number and be able to get calls when you’re not on your computer, Skype is not the answer for you.
Plus Skype doesn’t offer you the opportunity to make any money.
What is this business opportunity?
Liberty International offers its customers the chance to have their own home based business. You don’t have to do this to get the free VoIP service (even though to get it for free, as a customer you still have to refer three, so why not get the bonuses anyway?). It’s an option that has to be taken advantage of at sign up; you can’t switch over later for legal, financial reasons.
There are three different packages available; the most affordable is $150, which gets you your business suite websites, as well as bonuses for each of your sign-ups who choose the business opportunity – either $50, $300, or $1000 per person depending on the package they choose. The advanced and accelerated packages each offer a lot more both in terms of business tools and back-end income. This is a lot of information for this FAQs page so if you want to know more, I’ll refer you to the Compensation plan - and remember I’m here if you have any questions. Now sit down and figure out how many months of your present phone bill it would take for you to have saved that much money. In the long run you’re really not losing anything at all – in fact no matter what you can save thousands of dollars in future utility costs. My husband and I figured this out right away, which is why we didn’t hesitate.
As a LI Independent Representative, you receive those bonuses as well as commissions and residuals down the line, so there are three ways to generate income.
Do I have to do this to get FREE VoIP?
No. Just sign up as a customer, refer three people to the same service and yours is free. On the other hand, if you’re referring three people anyway, why not get bonuses and compounded commissions?
Are there any hidden costs like autoship?
I’m not the kind of person who wants you to get involved in something like this and come back later and ask why they weren’t told all the fine print. If you choose to start a business with LI, regardless of which package, there is a $29.95/mo charge for use of your business suite websites – but just like with your $24.95/mo phone service (as well as any other product you decide to sell through LI) – this cost becomes FREE when three of your referrals also get it. So no – IF YOU GET A LEAST THREE REFERRALS for the same service, there are NO HIDDEN COSTS.
ALSO: if you choose to start your own business, no matter which package you choose, your first monthly phone service cost of $24.95 is free, so you have some time to find your three referrals.
Also you pay $69 for the adapter which comes preprogrammed with your number – a new one with the area code of your choice, until you switch over your old home number, if you want that – plus all the voicemail, music on hold, caller ID, E911, etc, etc. The adapter is made by Linksys. You then own your adapter forever (Those who choose to start a business get a rebate on this, depending on the package). You can also buy your adapter at Radioshack and your VoIP provider should help you program your phone number; the Global FREEdom phone customer service will help with this, but a reason to get it from them is it comes preprogrammed with all the features like voicemail, caller ID, E911, etc. But it’s up to you. Instead of the adapter, you can purchase the video phone, which is ready to plug into your router.
Why would I spend more to get in on this?
Remember, as in any small business, there will be some initial investment. It’s not ‘too good to be true’ – I’m being honest with you here; there is money and work involved on your part, as there is when you invest in any business. But this one is set up for people with no experience – even if you’ve never had a business, or don’t know anything about technology, you can do this. LI offers free conference call training sessions to help you get started – and I’m here for you too. Liberty International also recently put out a short DVD which summarizes the company and the opportunity; just pass it out to your friends and watch them come to you.
And if you want to make the maximum rewards on the back end, consider the Accelerated Progression and do a little research on the octonary compensation plan ). This network business model is the granddaddy of all network business models, tested and retested; it’s even taught at the business school at the University of Illinois. For a little more investment, you put yourself in the position down the line to make more on commissions and residuals: you accelerate all of your ‘business centers’ - which means your commissions are compounded. It just depends on what you want to get out of it – and how big your own network grows.
Remember, it is a business; it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. You can put as much time and energy into this as you want to. But if you’re looking for a realistic, lucrative home based business, with a high-tech product that is going to explode in the next couple of years, THIS IS IT. For a relatively small initial investment you get a turn-key business with all the tools, website and free training and support you’ll ever need built right in, plus no product to lug around or ship, no accounts receivable to worry about – it’s all done automatically online. There are also a lot of tax breaks and retirement incentives for having your own business. And the only thing you’re doing is helping your community get free phone service and pass it on.
Can I do this full time?
It is recommended that you take this on part-time at first. Don’t quit your day job – yet! There are many people already making a great, secure living with this company, but it will take some time and effort on your part. It’s possible to be reaping big back-end rewards inside of a year; of course with the bonuses, you may see quite a bit of cash right away (my friends here, respected members of our small community, are making $4000-$20,000 within their first month or two). I will be adding my name to this list soon.
What if I already have a home based business?
Even better. You already know what it takes to work from home and generate income based on contacts and word of mouth. You’re already ahead of most people who take this on in addition to their regular office jobs. And again – you can spend an hour a day on this, or six hours a day; it’s up to you and your own schedule and income goals.
Isn’t this a pyramid scheme or an MLM?
No. This is not an MLM (multi-level marketing). In an MLM, the people at the ‘top’ make a larger percentage of the residual income. In the octonary compensation structure, all the people in your stream make the SAME commission points as you and everyone else along your stream when someone new is signed up. No matter where you are in the stream, your income potential is unlimited. It’s not too good to be true – it’s a tried and tested business model that’s been worked out mathematically. It creates the most wealth for the most people involved, simply because so much money (most companies spend over 80% of their budget on advertising!) is saved on commercials and such.
Plus, think about this for a second; in a big corporation, isn’t that like a pyramid? The CEO at the top makes millions of dollars, his VPs make six figures, and the low-level employees barely make enough to pay their bills. Is this fair?
At what point are people going to begin demanding proper compensation for their efforts? Shouldn’t all members of a company have the opportunity to make something extra on the back end? And shouldn’t all members have the chance to ‘leverage’ themselves – that means, having other members helping with the work load – as now only CEOs have? Billionaires such as Warren Buffet (The Pampered Chef) and Richard Branson (Virgin Atlantic Airlines; Virgin Cosmetics) now own network marketing companies; it’s the business model of the future and they know it.
How does a company stay in business if they’re giving everything away?
Just remember people are buying the adapter – and many are also buying the video phone, not to mention the optional business opportunity and all the hundreds of other products LI sells. Since they started with the VoIP service, their earnings have SOARED. And so have the earnings of many of their Independent Representatives. Also keep in mind most businesses go into debt as a result of their advertising costs. Liberty International doesn’t do that – instead it relies on their representatives, people like me, to spread the word.
Also there is a maximum amount you can earn per day, six days a week. As just a customer your limit is $3500 a day. Under the Basic plan your maximum daily earnings are $4100. The max for the Advanced plan is $5300, and for the Accelerated, the maximum daily payout is $7700. The Accelerated package will enable your numbers to rise more quickly – it’s all mathematics. But those are all still pretty high numbers, and even though you’d need hundreds of people in your stream to max out like that, keep in mind this technology is going to take the telecom industry by storm in the next few years. We’re talking millions of new subscibers by 2010. VoIP is here to stay – it’s not like selling supplements or skin care cream. It’s a UTILITY that EVERYONE will use. You have to have a little bit of vision.
How did you find out about this?
Liberty International first came to the Big Island of Hawaii around May of 2007. Before that, their VoIP market had only been presented to southern California and Chicago to a great extent. So we are VERY fortunate that Tanya Aynessazian, who had come from a successful business career in Chicago, moved back to Puna with her family, along with this new opportunity. You probably don’t know that Puna is one of the lowest rent districts in the nation; perhaps the poorest area in the whole of our state. Tanya was also tenacious enough to get J.R. Read, one of Liberty International’s founding members, to come out and train her; he fell in love with the place (who wouldn’t!) and he’s still here today, busy training and supporting the members of our little community. What a stroke of luck for a place where for the most part, Hawaii’s own people can barely afford to live here anymore with the rising costs of real estate and taxes.
Within 90 days, in PUNA ALONE, MIND YOU, they’d paid out over $300,000 in bonuses and commissions. It’s just getting to Kona now, where I live, and I know it will quickly spread to Oahu, Maui, the other islands and of course…the MAINLAND! If you live on the mainland, please understand VoIP is going to transform the landscape of telecommunications in the next 24 months. This is a UTILITY that EVERYONE will have. And the market is still WIDE OPEN in most areas. GO GRAB IT!! Put your fears and old business paradigms aside. You may not have this opportunity again in life.
